So we reached the halfway point on August 19th and I was very excited to finally have a baby bump! So excited I decided to take a few pictures, the only problem was that Campbell is used to being the focus of all photo shoots around here and you will see how this photo shoot quickly became less about me and Charlie and more about Campbell! He could have a tough first month with an attitude like this!

Late Announcement
I think this is pretty late breaking news for the blog but Campbell would like to say he is going to be a Big Brother in January!
We have tried to prepare him as much as possible but are pretty confident in him. It will definitely be a tough adjustment as he is currently the center of our universe but we know that once he realizes his Baby Brother will throw things for him they will be best buds. His vet is also quite concerned about this adjustment. Let me preface this by saying Campbell has never showed any aggression or even snapped at someone and because of that he is already our first born.
Right now his biggest adjustment has been to the pregnancy pillow. He used to sleep under the sheets right next to me but I now have the pregnancy pillow for protection from his sleep walking/falling/cuddling ways!
His other tough adjustment to date has been the extra bags and baby gifts. We made the mistake a few Christmases ago of wrapping all of Campbell's gifts in gift bags and since then whenever we bring a bag of any sort home with us he sits and thinks it is for him. When I say this I mean any type of bag; shopping bag, grocery bags, actual gift bags. When things aren't for him he pouts a little...the other 100 toys which are his in the house apparently aren't enough!
Anyways I will keep the blog up to date on Campbell's new life and adjustments and certainly will keep things up to date when his little brother arrives in January!
Oh yeah, we are naming him Charles (Charlie) Daniel Hegarty! Charlie is Michael's dad and Dan is my dad.

Busy!
We have been VERY busy over the last few months, hence the lack of posts. But after many comments from Campbell's 2 followers we are updating his blog. He has been a busy puppy; three Lake Martin Trips and one 8 day trip to the Grandparents house!
Overall though we have had a great few months.
- Trip with the Hegarty's to the lake to celebrate the 4th and Mrs. H's Birthday!
- Trip to Hilton Head with the McLarty's and Shape's!
- Trip to Houston to celebrate Anthony and Darcie's wedding!
We had a great time catching up with everyone we haven't seen in a while and I hope it isn't too long before we are all together again!
PS - Send me pictures of these fun events so I can post them (Emily, Sarah, Mom and Mrs. H!)...
Love,
Campbell and his Mommy

Mountain Man!
Michael, Campbell, Schroll, Emily and I were able to have a wonderful weekend in the North Georgia mountains this past weekend. We were supposed to go for Valentine's weekend but it was delayed a few months due to a little bit of snow and an advisory from the owner to not come so we had a "lock in" on the farm instead that weekend...
But this weekend we had a great time relaxing with a few adult beverages, games, a paddle boat, walks in the woods that are how horror movies normally begin and food!
Here are a few pictures, we had a great time and I think this place has "Couples Retreat" written all over it for our next adventure, with hopefully a few more friends!

Happy Mother's Day!
We were able to have a wonderful day today with Michael's Mom and Dad and my Dad and Maggie (Mom is with her Mom in South Georgia). With that Happy Mother's Day, we love you both so much! Also, Happy Mother's Day to our sisters.
I know I am not quite a technical mother but I love my C man so much and he is pretty good practice, Campbell would also like to say Happy Mothers Day to his Grandma and DeDe for all of the toys!!

Living the Life!
We have been busy doing yard work for the last few evenings, we are hoping to tackle the back yard this summer and make it "Campbell friendly". We spent a lot of time last year out front and I think we did a pretty good job for first timers. Hopefully we can be just as successful out back this year as I think we will get to enjoy it a little bit more! Here are some things that Campbell keeps himself busy with while we sweat!
I will give you yard before and afters later!
In other news Campbell's cousin, Charlie Brown, passed away today. Our hearts and prayers go out to Kristie, Ray and Hayden as I know this is a really tough time but I also know that they gave him a great life and he was blessed by them taking him in. Campbell now has to represent the Hegarty dog clan as the only non corgi...hopefully he will make Charlie Brown proud :)
